Baba Stuff
The Mellow Bellows
“This is the first item I ever received from babatoys.ca and I have to say I was instantly very impressed! Such a cool idea and it's just so well made. The apple wood handle and copper combine for a high quality and seriously refined look. Not only is it functional but it makes for quite an exquisite showpiece as well! A definite must have..”

Cutting Boards
“Receiving a handmade cutting board from the tree I used to climb on as a kid meant so much because it's not only heartfelt, but super functional! I love the beautiful shape and colour of my applewood cutting board. “

Stained Glass
"Baba did a lot of stained glass in the late 1970s. (As well as a lot of other things!) This beautiful jewellery box was a gift that illustrates his artistry with glass and wood. Inspired by the cover art of the monumental 1970 Grateful Dead album 'American Beauty' this gift remains a treasured classic - just like Baba"

The Sauce Master
“Upon unboxing our new Saucemaster spoon from Babastuff.ca we were initially somewhat worried.
Here was a beautifully finished wooden cooking spoon with the usual heft and fine workmanship we've come to expect from Babastuff.ca but ...there was a huge hole in the middle of it!.
Our hearts sank, had they lured us in with many excellent and well made products only to sell out by trying to save on materials by drilling holes in it?
NO! of course not! - the hole is cutting edge technology which creates a lab tested vortex whilst stirring to maximise stirring efficiency and to allow the release of aromatics not obtainable by lesser stirring spoons.
The Saucemaster is the pinnacle of stirring engineering, anything else...is just a spoon.”

Hand Split Cedar Shakes
“We had built some new outhouses for our wedding but were unsure of how to clad them to make them suit the occasion. On a stroke of pure luck, we hired the shake-maker extraordinaire known as Baba. I can’t imagine how much time and energy he must have put into making these shakes one by one, but the final result was truly stunning. We will definitely be hiring Baba again to shake our house when we get our forever home”

Bread Lame
"Spending more time at home to avoid Covid, I started making sourdough bread (along with everyone else) and got intrigued with the process of embellishing the loaves. Searching the internet, I came across a tool called a 'lame'. When I showed Baba, he went right out to his workshop and made me one. It works like a charm. Locally sourced and fast delivery!"

Puddy Wacker
“We were unaware that Puddy Whacking was a thing. But our cat assured us "it's definitely a thing"
Our eagle model Puddy Whacker is everything you've come to expect from Babastuff.ca.
Made from 100 year old heritage recycled timber hand carved and sanded to purrfection it has curves in all the right places - for human operators and feline recipients.
Its western red cedar construction and generous length means its light and ergonomically sound, allowing for a decent whack with a minimum of energetic input.
The Eagle shaped beak was designed for ear scratching and hard to reach spots after many years of field testing, and should be patentable technology.
In short puddy whacking is a thing, and "The Eagle" Puddy Whacker from Babastuff.ca is the only tool for the job.”
W.S and J.V McPhee
"if ever there was an occasion to drag myself away from deep, hair shedding slumber, it would have to be a session of puddy wacking with a propietal babastuff.ca puddy wacker. It is bliss.
I don't know how he's done it. It's as if he knew that if cats had opposable thumbs, that this is exactly what we would all strive to create.
The eagle puddy wacker, it's better than catnip."
