Meet Baba

How is it possible for one man to possess so much creativity, generosity and heart-centred handcrafting skills?! We were wondering the same thing.

Allow us to introduce the one and only “Baba”: Greg Madill. He has been called Baba ever since his oldest grandchild, Eddy, could speak. And he has been lovingly creating wooden toys for kiddos for decades before that. Many moons ago, he made things for his own four children- like a magical puppet show theatre, dollhouses, and even a tree fort. Back then he was called Maddawg, Daddy, Padre, and Dad. The traditions of creating and crafting are vital to this man's life, and everyone that knows him well has enjoyed his various creations- be it his Mellow Bellows, his music, his one-of-a-kind kids’ toys, cutting boards, stained glass art, or beautifully written song lyrics.

These days you can find Baba carving away the days in his new woodshed, creating the sweetest gifts for his granddaughters Florence and Olive, and his Grandsons Eddy and Liam.
